Treacle Tart - serves 8
Ingredients
- 1 x 8in flan case, uncooked (see sweet pastry case)
- 225g gluten free cake crumbs
- 225g golden syrup
- 70ml water
- 1 tsp lemon juice

Method
Preheat oven to 190°c / 375°f / gas mark 5.
Prepare the pastry case as per the recipe.
Mix the filling ingredients together, fill the pastry case and bake for 25 to 30 minutes until filling is set.
Serve hot with custard or cold with cream or ice cream.
